An AI legal assistant to make Moroccan medical law accessible — solution design and a RAG chatbot prototype.

What I did

  1. Solution design: a legal chatbot on a RAG engine, a corpus of Moroccan medical laws updated automatically, and connection with lawyers.

  2. Prototype: a RAG chatbot (LangChain) over Law 65.00 (basic medical coverage) and Law 131.13 (practice of medicine) that answers medical-law questions from the law articles.

  3. Arabic legal texts: direct PDF extraction produced badly encoded text, so we added an OCR layer (Tesseract, Arabic) and split each law into a structured tree (book, chapter, article) in JSON, containerised with Docker.
